Objective: Provide agent with a more complete understanding of how vehicles are structurally engineered to reduce fatality rates in vehicle crashes.

This course will illustrate how insurance companies, and society, have benefitted by decades of engineering improvements.  We will review the impact of federal regulations and motives behind regulations.  By understanding the importance of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, along with original equipment (OE) specifications, the agent can more accurately inform, assist, and protect the policy holder.  Having this understanding enables insurance personnel to better communicate with policy holders about the repair cycle.

Session 2: Ethics at Work - Sharpening Your Professional Judgement
Instructor: Trent Jensen
When: Wednesday June 12, 2019 | 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Credit Hours: 3

Light lunch will be served.
Objective: Reinforce the importance of ethics with the insurance professional.
Who Should Attend: Insurance Professionals

This is an interactive course.  Agents will identify core values and principles (honesty, integrity, serving the needs of the client, avoiding conflicts of interest, obeying the law, showing care and respect for others) that impact an agent's ethical decision making process. Working on case studies in small groups and together as a class, agents will engage in moral deliberation about ethical situations that can occur within the industry.  In addition to learning through the instructor's lecture and presentation, agents will also gain knowledge from each other's experiences and perceptions as they work through unique and challenging case studies.  Practicing ethical logic through utilization of a four-step moral reasoning process, agents will improve performance as they face real ethical situations through their career.
